Overview

The CL5500 electronic lock is a versatile access control device designed for various applications, offering multiple methods of operation and management. It can be operated directly via its keypad or through a compatible smartphone using the K3 Connect App.

Function Description

The CL5500 lock provides secure access control with a range of programmable features. Its primary function is to grant or restrict entry based on user codes, smart cards, or compatible smartphones. The lock supports a Master Code for overall management and an optional Sub-Master Code for delegated programming. It can be configured for various operational modes, including Code Free passage, where no code, card, or phone is needed to open the lock during specified periods. The lock also includes a "Lock-Down" feature to restrict access to only Master and Sub-Master Codes, enhancing security when needed. For guest houses and B&Bs, the "GuestLock" feature allows guests to choose their own 4-digit GuestCode with a predefined prefix.

Remote release functionality is available through two sets of terminals, REM1 and REM2. REM1 is for standard push-button release, while REM2 allows for an extended unlock period of 30 minutes, reverting to normal operation afterward.
