Use the Xfinity xFi app for activation and network management. Download from the App Store or Google Play.
Choose a central location near a cable outlet and note the network name (SSID) and password.
Connect the coax cable to the gateway and outlet, then connect the power cord to the gateway and outlet.
Connect to your WiFi network using the noted SSID and password or via an Ethernet cable.
Go to xfinity.com/activate to verify your account and set up your WiFi network.
Confirm Xfinity Home service is working by completing a Connectivity Test via the Xfinity Home Touchscreen.
