5 COMMISSIONING
5.1 Bar and chain mounting
Always wear protective gloves before mounting the chain-guide bar and the
chain.
1. Check that the plug of the electric saw is disconnected from the network.
2. Remove the bar nuts A and the chain cover B (see Fig. 6-3).
3. Move the chain adjustment pin C all the way forward the sprocket D (see Fig. 6-4),
using the chain tensioning screw.
4. Place the F bar so that the chain adjustment pin C fits into the corresponding hole
in the G bar (see Fig. 6-4).
5. Fit the H chain in the sprocket D and then inside the bar grooves (see Fig. 6-5).
Check for proper direction of the chain rotation (see Fig. 6-7).
6. Assemble the chain cover B and thread the nuts A without tightening them.
7. Tension the chain by turning the adjustment screw E clockwise (see Fig. 6-6).
8. Lastly, tighten the bar nuts A of the chain cover B with the supplied wrench (See
Fig. 6-7B), while lifting the bar tip.
