Why does the Compac Dispenser pressure gauge creep past 200 bar when not in use?
    • M
      Michael BryanSep 14, 2025
If the dispenser pressure gauge creeps past 200 bar when the Compac Dispenser is not in use, it could be because the regulator center seal is damaged, so replace the Regulator Valve Seals. Alternatively, the solenoid piston seal might be damaged, so replace the Solenoid Valve Seal.

What causes the Compac Dispenser to over fill the vehicle?
    • C
      Cheyenne SheltonAug 27, 2025
If the Compac Dispenser is over filling the vehicle, it could be because the regulator pressure is set too high, so adjust the Regulator set pressure. Another reason could be that the regulator seal is worn out, so you should clean the regulator and replace the valve seals. Also, fast fill or temperature compensation variables may be incorrectly set, so check that pressure transducers are calibrated and all parameters are correct, and replace transducers if they cannot be calibrated.

How to troubleshoot a Compac CNG when the solenoid is not opening?
    • J
      John RobertsAug 28, 2025
If the solenoid is not opening on your Compac Dispenser, check that the power is reaching the coil and it is energizing. Place a screwdriver (or similar metal object) over the top of the coil and feel the magnetic field created by the energized coil. If there is no magnetic field check the LED for the triac. If the triac LED light is coming on check that the triac is delivering power. If the triac is delivering power but the coil is not energizing then the coil is burnt out. Replace the solenoid coil and investigate why it has failed.

What causes the solenoid coil to burn out in a Compac Dispenser?
    • M
      Michele SaundersAug 29, 2025
If the solenoid coil in your Compac Dispenser is burnt out, it could be due to several reasons. Dirt or water in the solenoid may have prevented the armature from rising and opening the solenoid, causing the coil to overheat and burn out. In this case, replace the solenoid coil, clean the solenoid, replace the valve seals, change the filter, and remove the water source or install a drier. High voltage or voltage spikes could also cause the solenoid coil to burn out, so fit a voltage stabilizing UPS to the dispenser power supply and replace the solenoid coil. Additionally, if the coil has been removed from the solenoid and energized, it can burn out, so replace the solenoid coil.

Why is the Compac CNG slow filling the vehicle?
    • K
      Kayla SanchezAug 31, 2025
If your Compac Dispenser is slow filling the vehicle, it could be due to moisture in the gas mains causing freezing in one or more of the valves. This often occurs when water has not been cleared out of the gas pipes after testing. To resolve this, pour boiling water onto the pipework where the freezing has occurred until the ice has thawed and the gas can flow, and contact your gas supplier.

What causes the solenoid to not seal in a Compac CNG?
    • S
      Samuel ReedSep 2, 2025
If the solenoid is not sealing in your Compac Dispenser, it could be due to damaged solenoid piston seals. In this case, clean the solenoid and replace the valve seals. Another possible cause is dirt or water in the gas supply. To resolve this, clean the solenoid and replace the valve seals, change the filter, and remove the water source or install a drier.

Why will gas not flow from my Compac CNG Dispenser?
    • J
      Jeffrey GutierrezNov 23, 2025
If gas will not flow from the Compac Dispenser, there could be several reasons. There might be no power to the solenoid. The solenoid coil could be burnt out. The solenoid valve or the check valve could be stuck; in this case, clean the solenoid or the check valve and replace the valve seals. The regulator piston might be stuck, so clean the regulator and replace the valve seals. If there is water in the gas, it may have turned to ice, blocking the gas flow; in this case, pour boiling water onto the pipework where the freezing has occurred until the ice has thawed and the gas can flow, and contact your gas supplier. The Over-Pressure switch may have been activated; in this case, check the pressure on the pressure gauge. If it exceeds 215 bar, de-gas the dispenser to reduce the pressure, an...

What does it mean when the watchdog LED D5 is illuminated on a Compac CNG?
    • H
      Heather CrossSep 15, 2025
If the watchdog LED D5 is illuminated on your Compac Dispenser, it indicates that a processing fault has occurred. To resolve this, turn the power to the dispenser off and then on again to reset the watchdog. If the light still illuminates, there may be a fault on the C4000 microprocessor board, such as a loose memory chip or a broken track. In this case, replace the C4000 memory and software chips. If it doesn't help, replace C4000 processor board.

Why are the C4000 electronics not working in my Compac Dispenser?
    • S
      Stephanie CampbellSep 12, 2025
If the C4000 electronics in your Compac Dispenser are not working, with the indicator LEDs off and no response when lifting the nozzle, it could be due to unacceptable voltage spikes causing the fuses on the C4000 to blow. In this case, fit a voltage-stabilizing UPS to the dispenser. Another reason could be low input voltage, so turn the dispenser off and then on again, and check the power supply connections and input voltage to the dispenser with a multimeter. A voltage-stabilizing UPS will also be required.

What to do if Compac CNG displays PA:uSE?
    • R
      Ronald PerezSep 8, 2025
If the Compac dispenser displays PA:uSE after powering on, and the countdown from 60 doesn't start, it could be due to a couple of reasons. For push to start dispensers, the start button might be held down, so release the start button. Alternatively, the nozzle might not be stowed properly, or the nozzle switch might be active, so correctly stow the nozzle.
