Why does the Compac Dispenser stop filling after 1kg of gas?
    • S
      Shannon PerezSep 7, 2025
If the Compac dispenser stops filling the vehicle after approximately 1kg of gas has been dispensed, the over pressure switch may be faulty. Check the End of sale indicator to confirm there is a problem with the over pressure switch. Check the wiring to the switch and switch operation. Replace switch if no fault is found in the wiring. Another reason could be that the over pressure switch link has come loose in J12. Check the End of sale indicator to confirm there is a problem with the over pressure switch. Check the link in J12 is still in place and the contacts are clean.

Why does gas flow but not register on the Compac Dispenser display?
    • M
      Michelle WalkerSep 5, 2025
If gas flows but does not read up on the display of your Compac Dispenser, the C4000 may need to be reset, so re-power the dispenser. Another possibility is that the solenoid valves are not closing at the end of a fill when the dispenser stops metering because of dirt and/or water contamination; in this case, clean the solenoid and replace the valve seals. Finally, the meter could be faulty and has stopped, so replace the meter.

Why is the solenoid not closing on my Compac CNG Dispenser?
    • C
      christensenrichardSep 4, 2025
If the solenoid is not closing on your Compac Dispenser, it might be because the solenoid piston seals are damaged, jamming the piston in the open position. In this case, you should clean the solenoid and replace the valve seals. Another possible cause is dirt or water in the gas supply, which can also jam the piston in the open position. To fix this, clean the solenoid and replace the valve seals, change the filter, and remove the water source or install a drier.

What causes the solenoid to not seal in a Compac CNG?
    • S
      Samuel ReedSep 2, 2025
If the solenoid is not sealing in your Compac Dispenser, it could be due to damaged solenoid piston seals. In this case, clean the solenoid and replace the valve seals. Another possible cause is dirt or water in the gas supply. To resolve this, clean the solenoid and replace the valve seals, change the filter, and remove the water source or install a drier.

Why is the Compac CNG slow filling the vehicle?
    • K
      Kayla SanchezAug 31, 2025
If your Compac Dispenser is slow filling the vehicle, it could be due to moisture in the gas mains causing freezing in one or more of the valves. This often occurs when water has not been cleared out of the gas pipes after testing. To resolve this, pour boiling water onto the pipework where the freezing has occurred until the ice has thawed and the gas can flow, and contact your gas supplier.

What causes the solenoid coil to burn out in a Compac Dispenser?
    • M
      Michele SaundersAug 29, 2025
If the solenoid coil in your Compac Dispenser is burnt out, it could be due to several reasons. Dirt or water in the solenoid may have prevented the armature from rising and opening the solenoid, causing the coil to overheat and burn out. In this case, replace the solenoid coil, clean the solenoid, replace the valve seals, change the filter, and remove the water source or install a drier. High voltage or voltage spikes could also cause the solenoid coil to burn out, so fit a voltage stabilizing UPS to the dispenser power supply and replace the solenoid coil. Additionally, if the coil has been removed from the solenoid and energized, it can burn out, so replace the solenoid coil.

How to troubleshoot a Compac CNG when the solenoid is not opening?
    • J
      John RobertsAug 28, 2025
If the solenoid is not opening on your Compac Dispenser, check that the power is reaching the coil and it is energizing. Place a screwdriver (or similar metal object) over the top of the coil and feel the magnetic field created by the energized coil. If there is no magnetic field check the LED for the triac. If the triac LED light is coming on check that the triac is delivering power. If the triac is delivering power but the coil is not energizing then the coil is burnt out. Replace the solenoid coil and investigate why it has failed.

What causes the Compac Dispenser to over fill the vehicle?
    • C
      Cheyenne SheltonAug 27, 2025
If the Compac Dispenser is over filling the vehicle, it could be because the regulator pressure is set too high, so adjust the Regulator set pressure. Another reason could be that the regulator seal is worn out, so you should clean the regulator and replace the valve seals. Also, fast fill or temperature compensation variables may be incorrectly set, so check that pressure transducers are calibrated and all parameters are correct, and replace transducers if they cannot be calibrated.
