Power Up Remote

Remote User Features

LCD View Feature

This feature allows you to select a different vehicle image for the remote LCD display.

Sound;Vibrate Feature

This feature will allow the volume of the remote chime to be adjusted at 3 levels.

Full Feature

Enables/disables FULL Alarm or Alarm Remote Start mode allowing the remote to receive alarm trigger alerts.

LCD Brightness Feature

This feature will allow the LCD screen brightness to be adjusted by 3 levels.

Valet Feature

This feature enables/disables Valet mode. To enable to Valet mode using T-13, vehicle ignition/key must be in the on position.

Screen Timeout Feature

This feature will allow the screen timeout to be adjusted between 4 and 8 seconds.

AUX 1;Config Feature

These features allow AUX 1/2 to be displayed as optional functions, or turned off.

Drive Lock Feature

This feature will allow Drive lock/ignition controlled Door locks to be enabled/disabled.

Language Feature

This feature allows the language of the remote to be changed.

2 nd car mode Feature

When 2nd car mode is enabled, this remote can be programmed to control a 2nd vehicle.

Temperature Feature

This feature will allow the remote to display vehicle internal temperature.

Siren-Horn Feature

This feature allows the user to disable the horn/siren output.

Remote ID Feature

This will display the remote serial number for identification.

Shock Sensor Feature

This will enable/disable the shock sensor.

Power down Feature

This feature will power down the remote LCD.

Proximity UNLOCK Feature

This will enable/disable the proximity unlock feature.

Overview

The Compustar 2WT13R-SF is a remote control device designed for vehicle security and remote start systems. This quick start guide provides essential information for its operation, maintenance, and user-configurable features.

Function Description:

The 2WT13R-SF remote serves as the primary interface for controlling a vehicle's Compustar security and remote start system. It enables users to lock/arm, unlock/disarm, remote start/stop the engine, open the rear hatch/trunk, activate panic/vehicle locator features, and configure various system settings. The remote features an LCD display that provides visual feedback on the vehicle's status, including battery voltage and interior temperature. It also supports optional AUX outputs for controlling additional vehicle functions.

Usage Features:

Basic Operations:

  • Power On: Hold the "Lock" button for 4 seconds.
  • Lock/Arm System: Tap the "Lock" button 1 time.
  • Unlock/Disarm System: Tap the "Unlock" button 1 time.
  • Activate AUX 2 (if enabled): Double tap the "Lock" button (when "Secure AUX mode" is disabled).
  • Activate AUX 1 (if enabled): Double tap the "Unlock" button (when "Secure AUX mode" is disabled).
  • Panic/Vehicle Locator: Hold the "Lock" button for 5 seconds. (Note: additional connections may be required).
  • Rear Hatch/Trunk Release: Hold the "Hatch" button for 2.5 seconds. (Note: additional connections may be required).
  • Remote Start/Stop: Hold the "Remote Start" button for 2.5 seconds to activate or cancel the remote start sequence.
  • Re-Start Remote Start Runtime: While the vehicle is remote started, double tap the "Remote Start" button.
  • Wake Up Remote/Update Status: Tap the "Hatch" button 1 time to wake up the remote; tap again to update system status.
  • Temporarily Disable Secure AUX Mode: Tap the "Hatch" button 1 time.

User Option Menu:

  • Enter User Option: Double tap the "Remote Start" button.
  • Navigate Options: Use the "Lock" / "Unlock" buttons to move left/right.
  • Enter Selected Feature: Tap the "Hatch" button.
  • Exit User Option: Hold the "Remote Start" button for 2.5 seconds while in the user option menu.

Configurable User Features (via User Option Menu):

  • LCD View: Select different vehicle images for the LCD display. Options include lock/unlock icons that move to the next feature.
  • Sound/Vibrate: Adjust the remote chime volume (3 levels or off for vibrate-only mode).
  • LCD Brightness: Adjust the LCD screen brightness (3 levels).
  • Screen Timeout: Adjust the screen timeout duration (between 4 and 8 seconds).
  • "Full" (Alarm/Remote Start Mode): Enable/disable full alarm or alarm remote start mode, allowing the remote to receive alarm trigger alerts.
  • Valet Mode: Enable/disable valet mode. (Note: To enable valet mode using T-13, the vehicle ignition/key must be in the ON position).
  • AUX 1/2 Config: Configure AUX 1/2 to be displayed as optional functions or turned off.
  • Language: Change the remote's operating language (English, French, Spanish).
  • Temperature: Display internal temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
  • Remote ID: Display the remote's serial number.
  • Drive Lock: Enable/disable drive lock/ignition-controlled door locks. (Note: additional dealer programming may be required).
  • 2nd Car Mode: When enabled, the remote can be programmed to control a second vehicle using a compatible system.
  • Siren-Horn On/Off: Disable the horn/siren output with keyless-remote start functions. (Note: "pre warn" chirps will also be disabled).
  • Shock Sensor On/Off: Enable/disable the shock sensor if installed. (Note: does NOT apply to remote start only systems).
  • Power Down: Power down the LCD remote by tapping and holding the "Hatch" button for 4 seconds.
  • Proximity Unlock: Enable/disable the proximity unlock feature. (Note: additional dealer programming may be required).

Remote Programming:

  • To reprogram your remote: Cycle the key in the ignition 5 times within 7 seconds. Parking lights will flash. Then tap the Lock button on your remote. Repeat for any additional remotes. All remotes must be programmed during one sequence. If two parking light flashes occur, the Compustar has exited remote programming mode, and the process must be retried.
