HOW THE GEARS WORK
The rear derailleur provides you with more efcient pedalling. If
pedalling takes too much effort it means you need to change to a lower
gear. If pedalling is too easy, you need to change to a higher gear.
The lever on the right controls the rear derailleur.
E-bikes are tted with just one gear control which controls the rear
derailleur. There are no front-derailleur controls on this type of bicycle.
Never force the controls. The controls’ levers must move easily and the
chain must move from one sprocket to the other.
To change gear: reduce pedalling pressure during the change. Only
change when the bicycle is moving.
ADJUSTING HYDRAULIC BRAKES
The hydraulic or disk brake system is a hydraulically closed system
which, due to the pressure exerted with the brake lever, pushes brake
shoes against the disks mounted on the front and rear wheels.
Proper maintenance of your braking system will make your bicycle
safer to use.
The basic parts of your hydraulic braking system are:
-Brake lever with uid tank.
-Hydraulic pipe.
-Brake callipers with disk brake pads.
Keep in mind that after intensive use the disk can get very hot so be
careful when inspecting it.
