If the brake controls are actuated without the wheels mounted, the
brake pads can get locked and it will not be possible to mount the
wheels again until they are unlocked. To prevent the disc pads locking,
use the spacers that come with your bicycle. Follow your bicycle’s
braking system manual or go to an authorised dealer to solve the
problem.
Check that your bicycle’s disk brakes don’t contain any oil or grease.
You can use alcohol to clean the disks.
If the brake levers touch the handlebars when pulled softly, the hydraulic
system needs to be bled. As the bleeding operation is quite technical,
we recommend you take your bicycle to a dealer for this.
Check that the pads are in the correct position, i.e. 0.5 mm away from
the disk.
Change any part of your braking system that is not in perfect working
order. This operation may require tools and specic skills. Take the
bicycle to an ofcial dealer for this.
