6. Troubleshooting
Maintenance performed by the user is limited to changing Main- or hand unit,
battery unit, coaxial cable and charger. The following information covers common
problems and oers suggested solutions.
Problem Probable cause Recommended action
LED doesn’t light up
green.
No voltage. Check battery charge level.
Other cause. Contact your local C.M. representative.
LED lights up green,
but when the
trigger is pressed the
LED doesn’t light up
orange.
No connection. Check coaxial cable connection.
Hand unit defective. Change Hand unit.
Coaxial cable defect. Change coaxial cable.
Other cause. Contact your local C.M. representative.
LED lights. The Main unit is too hot. Turn the power switch o and wait about 10
minutes, and then try again. If still ashing,
contact your local C.M. representative.
LED does not light
or does not light
at the same time
as the Seal lamp
of the Hand Unit.
Main unit defective. Contact your local C.M. representative.
LED is fast
ashing red.
Short circuit. Check that the tube is inserted correctly.
Check that the tube is not wet.
Check that the electrodes are dry.
Contact your local C.M. representative.
LED is red/green
blink.
Low battery charge level. Recharge battery. See 2.3.2.
LED is fast
ashing red.
Time out. Check the seal pattern.
Trigger released. Check the seal pattern.
The battery is protected with a self-resetting auto fuse against overtemperature (70°C/158°F)
and short circuit.
