Overview

The Corberó CCVM300 is a microcomputer ceramic hob designed for domestic or household use. It features resistance wire heating, microcomputerized control, and multi-power selection, making it a versatile choice for modern kitchens. The hob is designed with customer needs in mind, offering safe and reliable performance.

Function Description:

The CCVM300 ceramic hob operates by directly employing resistance wire heating. Power regulation is achieved through a microcomputer that controls the heating time and the closing time of the resistance wire. This allows for precise control over the cooking process.

Safety Features:

  • High Temperature Protection: A temperature sensor continuously monitors the internal temperature of the cooker. If an excessive temperature is detected, the cooking plate automatically disconnects and stops power output.
  • Residual Heat Indicators: After use, the heating area retains residual heat. The power nixie tube displays "H" to warn users to stay away from the hot area.
  • Auto Shut Down Protection: The hob automatically shuts off if no operation is performed within a default timing period. If multiple heating zones are active, the hob will shut off when any one zone reaches its default timer. The default working times for various power levels are:
    • Power Level 1, 2, 3: 8 hours
    • Power Level 4, 5, 6: 4 hours
    • Power Level 7, 8, 9: 2 hours
  • Cracked Surface Warning: If the ceramic surface is cracked, the appliance must be switched off immediately to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
  • Child Safety Lock: The hob is equipped with a lock function to ensure child safety. When activated, the timer indicator shows "Lo" and the indicator lamp lights up, disabling all keys except the ON/OFF key. The lock can be deactivated by holding the "lock" key for a while.
  • General Safety Reminders:
    • A dedicated power protection air switch must be used.
    • Never use the hob in high-temperature environments (e.g., near a gas or kerosene stove).
    • Do not place detergents or flammable materials under the hob.
    • Metallic objects (knives, forks, spoons, lids) should not be placed on the hotplate as they can get hot.
    • Sealed food (canned goods) should not be heated before opening their covers to prevent explosion due to heating expansion.
    • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
    • Do not place rough or uneven appliances that may damage the ceramic surface.
    • Never wash the hob directly with water.
    • Never operate the hob without food inside, as this may affect performance and cause danger.
    • After prolonged use, heating zones remain hot; avoid touching the ceramic surface to prevent burns.
    • Keep electrical appliances out of reach of children and ensure they are supervised if using the appliance.
    • The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
    • Children less than 8 years of age should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
    • The appliance is not intended to be operated by an external timer or separate remote-control system.
    • A steam cleaner is not to be used.
    • After use, switch off the hob element by its control and do not rely on the pan detector.
    • Unattended cooking with fat or oil can be dangerous and lead to fire. NEVER extinguish a fire with water; instead, switch off the appliance and cover the flame with a lid or fire blanket.
    • Do not store items on the cooking surfaces to avoid fire hazards.

Usage Features:

  • Preparation: After power on, the buzzer sounds once, all indicators light up for 1 second, then go out, indicating standby mode. Place the pot in the center of the heating zone.
  • Switching On: Press the "On/Off" key to enter standby mode, where all indicators show "-". If the plate is hot, "H" will alternate with "-".
  • Power Adjustment: Use the "-" or "+" keys to decrease or increase the power level (1-9). Setting the power level to 0 switches off the zone.
  • Independent Zones: Each heating zone operates independently.
  • Treble Loop Function: Available in the 3# heating zone, this function allows for larger heating zones.
    • Pressing the "◎" key once activates double loop mode.
    • Pressing it a second time activates treble loop mode.
    • Pressing it a third time returns to single loop mode.
    • When double loop is active, "P" is displayed.
  • Timing Function (Cooking Timer):
    • Select a cooking zone by pressing its "-" or "+" key; the display will flash.
    • Adjust the timer using the timer's "+/-" keys.
    • After 5 seconds of flashing, the timer is confirmed, and a red dot appears next to the cooking zone indicator, signifying a timer setting.
    • The cooking zone automatically switches off when the timer expires.
    • The cooking timer works for only one cooking zone at a time.
  • Minute Reminder:
    • Activate the timer by pressing the "+/-" key; the display will flash.
    • Adjust the time using the "+/-" keys (single touch for 1 minute increments/decrements, press and hold for 10 minute increments/decrements).
    • After 5 seconds, the display stops flashing, and the minute reminder starts counting down.
    • The buzzer will sound for 30 seconds when the set time is reached, and the display shows "--". Cooking process and power settings are unaffected.
  • Timing Cancellation: Pressing "+" and "-" simultaneously cancels the timing, and the timer indicator shows "--".

Installation:

  • Hole Dimensions: Drill holes on the table surface according to the provided drawing (560mm × 490mm).
  • Space Requirements: A minimum of 50mm space must be preserved around the hole for installation and use.
  • Table Thickness: The table surface thickness must be at least 30mm.
  • Material: Use heat-resistant table material to prevent deformation from hotplate radiation.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ceramic hob is well-ventilated, and air inlet/outlet are not blocked. The safety distance between the hob and the cupboard above it should be at least 760mm.
  • Fixing: Secure the hob to the table using four brackets on the bottom, adjusting their position to suit the table top thickness.

    • If connecting directly to the mains, an omnipolar circuit-breaker with a minimum 3mm opening between contacts must be installed.
    • Ensure correct electrical connection and compliance with wiring rules.
    • The cable must not be bent or compressed.
    • The cable must be checked regularly and replaced by authorized technicians only.
    • Do not mount to cooling equipment, dishwashers, or rotary dryers.
    • Ensure better heat radiation for reliability.
    • Walls and induced heating zones above the table surface must withstand heat.
    • Sandwich layer and adhesive must be heat-resistant.
    • A board must be installed underneath the hob.

Maintenance Features:

  • General Cleaning:
    • Light dirt: Clean with a damp cloth and dry with another cloth. Use a cleaning sponge.
    • Accumulation of dirt: Clean with a damp cloth and dry with another cloth. Use a special cleaning sponge for ceramic glass.
    • Rings and lime crumbles: Apply white vinegar to the polluted zone, then wipe dry with a soft cloth or a special article available in local markets. Use special adhesive for ceramic glass.
