Why does my COZY Furnace have a delayed ignition?
    • B
      Benjamin ClarkDec 1, 2025
A delayed ignition in your furnace can occur for several reasons. The pilot flame might be too small; check the pilot orifice and increase the pilot gas flow if necessary by adjusting the inlet pressure from the gas source (meter if natural gas or second stage regulator if propane - maximum 7” w.c. for Natural and 11” w.c. for propane). Also, burner ports near the pilot could be clogged, so clean them, but do not enlarge them. Low gas pressure can also be a factor; check the gas supply inlet pressure and the gas outlet (manifold) pressure for “minimum step” pressure. If the pilot decreases in size when the main burners come on, the supply piping may be inadequately sized or the inlet pressure incorrect. Drafts around the appliance can also cause delayed ignition, so eliminate them. Bad ven...

Why won't my COZY Wall Furnaces burner turn on?
    • M
      michele43Aug 25, 2025
If your COZY Wall Furnaces burner won’t turn on, first ensure the gas valve is in the 'on' position. Check for 24 Volts to the valve, and also check the wall thermostat. You can jump the fan switch to check for voltage (the fan will come on). Verify that the auxiliary limit switch and the blocked flue switch are closed by pushing the red button. If none of these steps work, the gas valve may be defective and require replacement.

What to do if the pilot won’t light or stay lit on my COZY CF553D-H Wall Furnaces?
    • M
      Marissa MitchellAug 26, 2025
If your COZY Wall Furnaces pilot won’t light or stay lit (standing pilot), first bleed the line to remove any air. If that doesn't work, the thermocouple may be defective and need replacement. You might also need to adjust the pilot flame if it is too low, or the manual reset switch may not be engaged, so push the button.

What to do if the pilot light won't ignite on my COZY Wall Furnaces (I.I.D. Pilot)?
    • A
      atkinsrobertAug 27, 2025
If the pilot on your COZY Wall Furnaces won’t light (I.I.D. Pilot), check the wire connections and ensure adequate grounding if the sparker isn’t working. If the sparker won’t light the pilot, the pilot flame may be too small, or the valve may not be in the 'on' position; also, check for any pilot restrictions. Ensure the manual reset switch is engaged by depressing the red button on the switch.

What to do if my COZY Wall Furnaces burner won’t turn off?
    • C
      caroline88Aug 27, 2025
If your COZY Wall Furnaces burner won’t turn off, it could be due to a defective or sticking automatic valve, which would require replacing the valve. It may also be caused by excessive gas pressure; if the supply gas pressure exceeds 1/2 PSI or 14” W.C., contact the utility supplying the gas to correct this.

How to troubleshoot delayed ignition in COZY CF553D-H?
    • P
      Paul OchoaSep 15, 2025
If your COZY Wall Furnaces shows a delayed ignition, it could be due to several reasons. The pilot flame might be too small; check the pilot orifice and increase pilot gas flow if needed by adjusting the inlet pressure from the gas source. Alternatively, burner ports near the pilot may be clogged, so clean them carefully, making sure not to enlarge them. Low gas pressure could also be the culprit; check the gas supply inlet pressure and the gas outlet (manifold) pressure. The pilot decreasing in size when the main burners come on indicates inadequately sized supply piping or incorrect inlet pressure. Eliminating drafts around the appliance and ensuring proper venting may also resolve the issue.

How to fix a flame that is too large on COZY CF553D-H?
    • L
      Larry HansonSep 12, 2025
If the flame on your COZY Wall Furnaces is too large, it could be due to a defective operator section of the gas valve, in which case you should replace the complete valve. Another cause could be that the burner orifice is too large; check with your local gas company for the proper orifice size and replace it if necessary. Also, if your unit is installed above 2,000 ft, refer to the orifice chart on Page 11.

Why is the flame on my COZY Wall Furnaces so noisy?
    • B
      Brian PughSep 14, 2025
If the flame on your COZY Wall Furnaces is noisy, it could be due to a noisy pilot; reduce the pilot gas with the adjusting screw on the combination gas control valve. If the noise is a whistle or resonance, there may be a burr in the orifice; remove the burr or replace the orifice, being careful not to enlarge it. Excessive gas input can also cause a noisy flame; refer to the 'Flame Too Large' section for guidance.

What to do if the sparker won't light the pilot on my COZY Furnace?
    • T
      tiffany01Sep 5, 2025
If the sparker isn't lighting the pilot, first check the wire connections. If the connections are secure, the pilot flame might be too lean. Ensure the valve is in the 'on' position and check for any pilot restrictions. Also, make sure the manual reset switch is engaged by pushing the button.

Why does my COZY Furnace have a yellow tip flame?
    • W
      Willie SchultzSep 3, 2025
A yellow-tipped flame may be due to clogged main burner ports; clean them, but do not enlarge them. Another cause could be a clogged draft hood, so clean the draft hood. Also, check for dust or lint at the air mixer opening.
