PREPARATION

Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used and remove foreign objects.

Safe Handling of Gasoline

Use extreme care in handling gasoline, as it is extremely flammable and vapors are explosive.

CLEARING A CLOGGED DISCHARGE CHUTE

Avoid hand contact with rotating impeller; use clean-out tool.

ASSEMBLY

Tire Pressure (Pneumatic Tires)

Check tire pressure before operation; tires are over-inflated for shipping.

OPERATION

CLEAN-OUT TOOL

Used to dislodge and scoop snow/ice from the chute assembly.

BEFORE STARTING ENGINE

Read and follow all instructions and warnings before operating.

STARTING THE ENGINE

Keep hands/feet clear of moving parts; do not use pressurized starting fluid.

Electric Starter

Use with grounded three-wire cord and receptacle; do not use in rain.

Recoil Starter

Pull starter handle until resistance, then pull quickly and forcefully.

REPLACING SHEAR PINS

Shear pins secure augers; replace if sheared due to foreign object.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

ENGINE MAINTENANCE

Includes checking and changing engine oil, and spark plug maintenance.

ADJUSTMENTS

Adjust shift cable, drive control, auger control, and skid shoes.
