It features a top-fill design for easy water replenishment and includes an integrated sound machine and nightlight for added functionality. The humidifier uses cool mist technology, making it safe for use around children and pets. The sound machine offers various soothing sounds, and the nightlight provides customizable color options. An aroma tray is also included for use with vapor pads or essential oils, allowing for an aromatic experience without adding substances directly to the water tank.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Adaptor Voltage Rating: Input: 120V-240VAC, Output: 24VDC 1.0A
  • Humidifier Voltage Rating: 24 VDC, 1.0A
  • Frequency: 60Hz
  • Water Tank Capacity: Approximately 1 Gallon / 3.78 Liter
  • Run Time Per Tank: Up to 24 hours
  • Humidifying Capacity: Up to 250 sq. ft. / 23m²
  • Noise Level: < 37 decibels from 3 ft away

Usage Features:

  • Top Fill Design: The water tank can be filled from the top, making it convenient and mess-free.
  • Placement: The humidifier should be placed on a solid, elevated, non-metallic, lint-free, waterproof, and level surface at least 2 feet off the ground. It should not be placed on carpet, towels, or wood surfaces, or near furniture that can be damaged by moisture. The fan vent at the bottom of the base must not be obstructed.
  • Assembly:
    1. Ensure the water level sensor float is securely placed in the base. This is a critical step for proper operation.
    2. Place the water tank onto the humidifier base, aligning the Crane Logo with the Power Button.
    3. Fill the water tank from the top with clean, cool tap water. Filtered or distilled water is recommended to avoid white dust, especially in hard water areas. Hot water should not be used.
    4. Secure the mist channel cover onto the water tank, ensuring an audible click.
    5. Place the water tank disk (with the lip facing down) securely onto the water tank opening.
    6. Place the mist nozzle securely onto the water tank disk and direct the mist output as desired.
  • Power and Mist Output:
    • Connect the AC Adaptor Cord to the plug port and then to a wall socket.
    • Press the Power Button once for low mist, twice for medium, three times for high, and four times to power off.
    • The Power Indicator Light will illuminate green when on, then turn off after 10 seconds, but the humidifier will continue to run.
    • When the humidifier runs out of water, the Power Indicator Light will turn red, and mist output will stop.
  • Sound Machine:
    • Lightly tap the sound machine icon to cycle through different sounds: 1x for White Noise, 2x for Rain Sound, 3x for Ocean Sound, and 4x to power off.
    • To adjust the volume, press and hold the sound machine icon. The volume will cycle between low and high. Release the button to set the desired volume. The volume level will be maintained when the sound is turned off and back on.
  • Nightlight Function:
    • Tap the nightlight icon to turn it on.
    • Tap again to cycle through different light colors every 10 seconds.
    • Tap a third time to set the current light color.
    • Tap a fourth time to turn the nightlight off.
  • Aroma Tray:
    • Remove the water tank.
    • Place a Crane Vapor Pad (HS-1950/L) or an unscented pad with essential oils into the aroma tray.
    • Replace the water tank before running the humidifier.
    • Important: Only use vapor pads or essential oils in the aroma tray. Do not add them directly to the water tank or water basin.
    • Vapor Pad Precaution: Not recommended for infants under 10 lbs (4.5 kg). For children between 10-22 lbs (4.5 kg), do not use more than 2 pads in a 24-hour period.
  • Humidity Control: Adjust the mist output to ensure the mist rises and is absorbed by the room air. If mist drops quickly, use a lower output setting. Leaving the room door partly open can help reduce excessive humidity or condensation, especially in small rooms.

Maintenance Features:

Regular cleaning and disinfecting are crucial for maintaining performance and preventing mineral buildup and bacterial growth.

  • Daily Maintenance:
    1. Turn off, unplug, and empty water from the tank and humidifier base daily.
    2. Allow the water tank and humidifier base to air dry.
    3. Leave the water tank disk and mist nozzle off the water tank until the next use.
  • Weekly Cleaning:
    1. Turn off, unplug, and empty water from the tank and humidifier base.
    2. Prepare a cleaning solution of 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to ½ gallon of water.
    3. Mist Channel Cover: Gently pull the mist channel cover from the top of the tank. Clean it with the vinegar/water solution and rinse. Reassemble securely.
    4. Water Tank Disk & Mist Nozzle: Remove the water tank disk from the mist nozzle. Wipe both with the vinegar/water solution.
    5. Water Tank: Fill the water tank halfway with warm water. Add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and let it sit for 30 minutes. Wipe the inside of the tank with a soft cloth using the solution. Empty and rinse with plain water.
    6. Humidifier Base: Fill the humidifier base with warm water, add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Empty the base and rinse with plain water. Always pour water away from the fan outlet.
    7. Nebulizer: Clean the nebulizer with a damp cloth or cotton swab after soaking.
    8. Allow all parts (water tank, mist channel cover, humidifier base, water tank disk, and mist nozzle) to air dry completely before reassembly or storage.
  • End-of-Season Maintenance & Storage:
    1. Turn off, unplug, and empty water from the tank and humidifier base.
    2. Follow the weekly cleaning instructions.
