Do you have a question about the Crestron Electronics TSS-70 Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Crestron TSS-70 Series comprises wall-mount touch screens specifically designed for room scheduling applications. These devices, including the TSS-770 and TSS-1070 models, are installed near meeting room entrances to clearly indicate room availability and schedules. They seamlessly integrate with various popular scheduling services.

Function Description

The TSS-70 Series touch screens serve as a dedicated interface for managing meeting spaces, offering a superior and cost-effective alternative to consumer tablet devices. They integrate directly with popular room scheduling services such as Crestron Fusion® software, Microsoft Exchange Server® (for Outlook® and Office 365® users), Google Calendar™ (including G Suite™), CollegeNET® 25Live®, and Ad Astra® software. IBM® Notes® software is also supported through a Crestron Fusion on-premises server.

The native Crestron Scheduling app helps maximize productivity by allowing users to reserve rooms on the spot for ad hoc meetings. An optional CEN-ODT-C-POE occupancy sensor (sold separately) can be paired with the touch screen to report occupancy status instantly, facilitating no-show detection and unscheduled room usage. The TSS-70 Series also supports various third-party scheduling applications, with new providers made available via firmware updates. Setup is streamlined, requiring only network connection and app selection from the web-based setup menu or built-in screens, with the selected app downloading from the cloud without requiring programming or a control system.

Specific variations of the TSS-70 Series are tailored for particular scheduling applications:

  • TSS-770-T and TSS-1070-T series: Designed to specifically run the Microsoft Teams® Panels scheduling application. These models ship with the Microsoft Teams Panels scheduling application running out of the box, displaying the Language Selection screen upon initial boot.
  • TSS-770-Z and TSS-1070-Z series: Designed to specifically run the Zoom Rooms® scheduling application. These models ship with a USB drive that boots the touch screen directly into Zoom Rooms scheduling mode.

The touch screens are compatible with the XiO Cloud® service, which enables remote provisioning, monitoring, and management of Crestron devices across an enterprise. Built on Microsoft® Azure® software platform and utilizing Azure IoT Hub technology, XiO Cloud offers unlimited scalability for deploying and managing thousands of devices simultaneously.
