1. Lift the presser foot (14).
2.Turn the balance wheel (28) toward you
with your right hand until the needle moves
down and up again.
Stop the balance wheel, as soon as
the needle is raised to its highest position.
Hold the end of the upper thread with your
left hand.
Draw the upper thread slightly upward so that
the under thread forms a loop.
3. Pull out approx. 10 cm of both threads under
the presser foot and lay them back.
