Install
1. Piston rings (onto the piston):
 Install rings so that
manufacturer’s numbers or
markings face upward.
 Lubricate with engine oil
2. Piston (1).
 Install piston pin (2) through
piston wall, rod, piston wall
 Install piston pin clips (3)
3. Cylinder:
 O-ring
 10mm bolts
42Nm or 31 ft lbs
 6mm bolts 10Nm
or 7 ft lbs
Install the cylinder with one
hand while compressing the
rings with the other hand.
Caution:
Be careful not to damage the timing
chain guide during installation. Pass
the timing chain through the timing
chain cavity.
