11.2. With the fittings removed, the three sections of
the steering unit can be separated.
See Figure 11.2.
11.3. The first two sections comprise a gerotor pump
and end plate to pressures the system using
steering wheel motion. See Figure 11.3.

11.4. The cardan shaft transfers motion from the
steering wheel, through the body of the steering
unit, to the pump. See Figure 11.4.
11.5. The relief valve ball and retainer live in one of
the fitting bores. Carefully extract them with a
magnet while the steering unit is in the upright
position. See Figure 11.5.
