      If food has burned onto the cooking pot surface of your Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker, fill the pot with warm, soapy water and allow it to soak before cleaning. If scouring is necessary, use a non-abrasive cleanser or liquid detergent with a nylon pad or brush.

      Your Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker might be turning itself off for several reasons. If no cooking function has been started, it will enter sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity; press any button to wake it up. The unit may have overheated, in which case, wait for it to cool down and try again. If all the water boiled out during steaming, add water and restart the program. If the pot is out of place for more than 15 minutes, you will need to restart the program. Also, the heater will turn off automatically after the cooking or Keep Warm time has elapsed, or if you do not set a cooking time, the unit will cook for the maximum allowable cooking time before shutting off automatically, which is normal.
