z This manual contains important safety instructions. Please read and follow all
instructions carefully during installation and operation of the unit. Read this
manual thoroughly before attempting to unpack, install, or operate.
z The AC power outlet must be installed near the UPS and must be easily
accessible.
z Attention, risk of electric shock. Disconnecting this unit from the power mains,
does not remove the risk. Voltage may still be present from the battery pack.
The battery pack quick connectors should be disconnected before performing
maintenance or service work on the UPS.
z When replacing the batteries, use the same number and type of batteries
z Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries. Electrolyte is harmful to the skin
and eyes.
z A battery can present a risk of electric shock and high short circuit current. The
following precaution should be observed when working on batteries
- Remove watches, rings or other metal objects.
- Use tools with insulated handles.
- Never short circuit the battery terminals.
