6 FX3 Application Example
This chapter outlines the steps involved in creating a FX3 firmware application,
using the GpifToUsb project from the SDK as a reference.
6.1 Creating the Project
The easiest way to create a new FX3 firmware project under the Eclipse IDE, is to
import an existing project; and make changes to it.
1. Start the EZ USB Suite IDE from the Cypress group in the Start Menu. When
prompted for workspace selection, provide a path to an existing workspace,
or type in the path where the new workspace is to be created.

2. Choose the Import option under the File menu to bring up the Import options
window. Choose “Existing Projects into Workspace” from the “General”
group.
