Check the valve tappets whether excessive wear and
damage or not.
Measure the outside diameter of tappets with a
micrometer.
Measure the clearance between tappets and cylinder
hole with a dial indicator
Measure the flatness of push rod with a feeler gauge.
Measure it by slowly rolling push rod on the flat desk
by hand. (See figure)
