2 Installing HDD
The following figures are for reference only. The actual product shall govern.
Shut off the power before you replace the HDD.
2.1 SMART 1U
For the first time installation, check whether the HDD has been installed or not. It is
recommended to use HDD of enterprise level or surveillance level. It is not recommended to
use PC HDD.
Turn over the device and remove the four fixing screws on the baseboard of the device. Step 1

Remove the case cover along the direction shown in the following

Match the four holes on the baseboard to place the HDD.
