8.3 Connecting the refrigerant piping
WARNING
â–ª Only use R32 as refrigerant. Other substances may cause explosions and
accidents.
â–ª R32 contains fluorinated greenhouse gases. Its global warming potential (GWP)
value is 675. Do NOT vent these gases into the atmosphere.
â–ª When charging refrigerant, ALWAYS use protective gloves and safety glasses.
8.3.1 About connecting the refrigerant piping
Before connecting the refrigerant piping
Make sure the outdoor and indoor unit are mounted.
Typical workflow
Connecting the refrigerant piping involves:
â–ª Connecting the refrigerant piping to the outdoor unit
â–ª Connecting the refrigerant piping to the indoor unit
â–ª Insulating the refrigerant piping
â–ª Keeping in mind the guidelines for:
- Pipe bending
- Flaring pipe ends
- Brazing
- Using the stop valves

DANGER: RISK OF BURNING/SCALDING
CAUTION
â–ª Do NOT use mineral oil on flared part.
â–ª Do NOT reuse piping from previous installations.
â–ª NEVER install a drier to this R32 unit to guarantee its lifetime. The drying material
may dissolve and damage the system.
