Method of Error Detection
The protection device circuit checks continuity in the high
pressure switch.
Error Decision Conditions
When there is no continuity in the high pressure switch
during compressor non-operating period.
Supposed Causes
îš„ Defective high pressure switch
îš„ Open circuit in high pressure switch harness
îš„ Defective connection of high pressure switch
connector
îš„ Defective outdoor unit PCB.
Troubleshooting
Is
protection HPS
connector connected to
outdoor unit
PCB?
NO
YES
Correct the
connection.
Wait 2 to 3 minutes after
the unit stops operating,
then check the following.
Caution
Be sure to turn off the power switch before
connecting or disconnecting connectors, or parts
may be damaged.
Is there
continuity in protection
HPS?
NO
Replace the
open-circuit HPS.
Replace the
outdoor unit
PCB.
YES
