Explanation of heating operation
Itmaytakelongertoreachthesettemperaturefor
generalheatingoperationthanforcoolingoperation.
Thefollowingoperationisperformedinorderto
preventtheheatingcapacityfromdroppingorcold
airfromblowing.
Defrost operation
• Inheatingoperation,freezingoftheoutdoor
unit’saircooledcoilincreasesovertime,
restrictingtheenergytransfertotheoutdoor
unit’scoil.Heatingcapabilitydecreasesandthe
systemneedstogointodefrostoperationtobe
abletodeliverenoughheattotheindoorunits:
• Whenanoutdoorunitisoperatingdefrost,
theindoorunitwillstopfanoperation,the
refrigerantcyclewillreverseandenergyfrom
insidethebuildingwillbeusedtodefrostthe
outdoorunitcoil.
