Itisdangeroustoinspecttheunitwhilethe
fanisrunning.
Besuretoturnoffthemainswitchandto
removethefusesfromthecontrolcircuit
locatedintheoutdoorunit.
8.1 Maintenance after a long stop period
(e.g., at the beginning of the season)
• Checkandremoveeverythingthatmightbe
blockinginletandoutletventsofindoorunits
andoutdoorunits.
• Cleanairltersandcasingsofindoorunits.

Refertotheoperationmanualsuppliedwiththe
indoorunitsfordetailsonhowtoproceedand
makesuretoinstallfordetailsonhowto
proceedandmakesuretoinstallcleanedair
ltersbackinthesameposition.
• Tur nonthepoweratleast6hoursbefore
operatingtheunitinordertoensuresmoother
operation.Assoonasthepoweristurnedon,
theuserinterfacedisplayappears.

Contactyourdealerormaintenancepersontocleanairltersand
casingsoftheindoorunit.Maintenancetipsandproceduresfor
cleaningareprovidedintheinstallation/operationmanualsof
dedicatedindoorunits.
8.2 Maintenance before a long stop
period (e.g., at the end of the season)
• Lettheindoorunitsruninfanonlyoperationfor
abouthalfadayinordertodrytheinteriorofthe
units.

automatic operation and dry operation”.
• Tu
r n offthepower.Theuserinterfacedisplay
disappears.
• Cleanairltersandcasingsofindoorunits.
Refertotheoperationmanualsuppliedwiththe
indoorunitsfordetailsonhowtoproceedand
makesuretoinstallcleanedairltersbackin
thesameposition.
9. Symptoms that are not air
conditioner troubles
Followingsymptomsarenotairconditioner
troubles:
9.1 The system does not operate
• Theairconditionerdoesnotstartimmediately
aftertheON/OFFbuttonontheuserinterfaceis
pressed.Iftheoperationlamplights,thesystem
isinnormalcondition.To preventoverloadingof
thecompressormotor,theairconditionerstarts
5minutesafteritisturnedONagainincaseit
wasturnedOFFjustbefore.
Thesamestartingdelayoccursafterthe
operationmodeselectorbuttonwasused.
• If“UnderCentralizedControl”isdisplayedon
theuserinterfaceandpressingtheoperation
buttoncausesthedisplaytoblinkforafew
secondsindicatingthatthecentraldeviceis
controllingtheunit.Theblinkingdisplay
indicatesthattheuserinterfacecannotbeused.
• Thesystemdoesnotstartimmediatelyafterthe
powersupplyisturnedon.Waitoneminuteuntil
themicrocomputerispreparedforoperation.
9.2 Fan operation is possible, but cooling/
heating do not work
• Immediatelyafterthepoweristurnedon.
Themicrocomputerisgettingreadytooperate
andisperformingacommunicationcheckwith
allindoorunits.Pleasewait12minutes(max.)
tillthisprocessisnished.
9.3 The fan strength does not correspond
to the setting
• Thefanspeeddoesnotchangeevenifthefan
speedadjustmentbuttoninpressed.During
heatingoperation,whentheroomtemperature
reachesthesettemperature,theoutdoorunit
goesoffandtheindoorunitchangestowhisper
fanspeed.Thisistopreventcoldairblowing
directlyonoccupantsoftheroom.Thefan
speedwillnotchangeevenifthebuttonis
pressed,whenanotherindoorunitisinheating
operation.
9.4 The fan direction does not correspond
to the setting
• Thefandirectiondoesnotcorrespondwiththe
userinterfacedisplay.Thefandirectiondoesnot
swing.Thisisbecausetheunitisbeing
controlledbythemicrocomputer.
