The equipment does not turn on immediately after having selecting turn on and the
defrost light remains on. The equipment is in heating mode and the compressor is
defrosting the outdoor battery, in a few minutes it will provide heat again to the indoor
unit; this is normally caused when the conditions outside are severe.
Issue 2. Fan Speed Change
The equipment automatically changes the fan speed when it is in AUTO or
DEHUMIDIFIER mode, according to the internal parameters which dictate the fan
speed depending on the temperatures that it detects in the environment and the air
temperatures in the battery.
It is only possible to control the fan speed in COOL, HEAT and FAN modes.
Issue 3. White steam is seen coming from the equipment.
The white steam could be produced as a result of the large difference between the
temperature of air entering and exiting in COOL mode, in an environment with relatively
high humidity. If it comes from the outdoor unit, this white steam corresponds to the
defrost operation. This white steam is air with high humidity concentration which is
produced from the battery defrosting operation.
Issue 4. Noise is heard coming from the equipment.
When it is functioning in cool mode or we have just turned off the machine we may
hear a noise which resembles a whistle coming from the expansion of gas in the
refrigerating pipe. It is normal that this issue may occur at any moment and it usually
occurs when the unit starts to function. The noise is normally not heard after the time to
self-regulate. If the sound persists, advise a service technician.
Creaking is heard coming from the inside of the machine. This is caused by abrupt
temperature changes, above all in HEAT mode, the dilation or compression of the
materials may cause this creaking, but it is not a machine malfunction.
Issue 5. Dirt is coming from the machine
It could be that a new machine or one that has spent a lot of time without functioning
has accumulated dirt, for example dust, which leaves the machine when the fan starts
running.
Issue 6. The machine emits odours
The machine’s battery and filter over time absorb the smell that are given off by
wooden furniture, human sweat, tobacco, foods, … which later may be emitted in its
functioning. The filter and battery must be cleaned with regularity to prevent the growth
of bacteria and mould which absorb these odours.
Issue 7. The machines changes to FAN mode
When the inside temperature reaches the assigned temperature, the compressor
automatically stops and the unit automatically switches to Fan mode. The compressor
will restart its functioning when the indoor temperature is increased in COOL mode or
descends in HEAT mode.
