Before programming the thermostat press the + & – AND &
buttons
simultaneously to reset the unit (Fig.1)
Setting the Clock and Day
1) CLOCK - Press PROG (Fig.2) to begin programming
Use + or – buttons (Fig.3) to adjust the TIME (Fig.4)
2) DAY - Press PROG again (Fig.2)
Use + or – buttons (Fig.3) until correct DAY is shown (MO = Monday) (Fig.5)
Accepting the Factory Pre-settings
The TP9 has pre-set times already programmed in for controlling the heating
and hot water, which often suit most people (see Table below & Fig.12 over).
To accept these settings press the PROG button until the time appears in the
display and colon begins to flash - the unit is now in RUN mode (Fig.6).
If you wish to alter these settings follow instructions below.
Your installer will have set your unit to operate in one of the following modes:
5/2 day - one set of programmes for weekdays and another for weekends
24 hour - one set of programmes for the whole week
Programming your CENTRAL HEATING
For Days 1-5 (weekdays)
a) Press PROG (Fig.2) 3 times to show the 1

(Event 1 Days 1,2,3,4,5) (Fig.7)
b) Use + or – buttons to adjust the TIME (press and hold to change in 10 min
increments)
c) Use or buttons to adjust the TEMPERATURE (Fig.8)
d) Press PROG (Fig.2) to move to next preset time & temp (Event 2) (Fig.9)
e) Repeat steps b, c & d for programming Events 3, 4 5 & 6
For Days 6-7 (weekends)
Press PROG (Fig.2) to show 1

pre-set time and temperature (Event 1 Days
6-7) (Fig.10)
Repeat steps b, c and d above to programme time and temperatyure
events for the weekend
NB. Left hand LED will be lit when the Central Heating programme is running

Programming Central Heating

Programming Weekday Heating (Days 1-5)

Set 1st pre-set time and temp for events 1-5, adjusting time and temperature using buttons.

Programming Weekend Heating (Days 6-7)

Set 1st pre-set time and temp for events 1-6 for the weekend, adjusting time and temperature.

Programming Heating Modes

Programming 24 Hour Mode Heating

Set the 1st pre-set time and temperature for each day of the week using PROG, +/-, and ▲/▼ buttons.

Programming Hot Water

Setting Hot Water Times

Press PROG to select Event A (1st ON), then adjust time and temperature using +/-, ▲/▼ buttons.

Temporary User Overrides

Temperature Override

Press ▲ or ▼ to temporarily change the programmed temperature.

+1HR Function

Press +1HR to keep hot water on for an extra hour, or to turn it on for one hour.

Frost Protection

Press & together to select a low constant temperature while away.

Hot Water Only Mode

Press & together to enable hot water only mode during summer.

Time and Clock Settings

Summer Time / Winter Time Clock

Press and hold - to change from Summer to Winter time, and + for Winter to Summer.

Low Battery Indicator

A low battery symbol appears when power is disconnected; programmes retained for 15 days.
