(on constantly or erratic flashing)
1) Look for damaged tether.
2) ROV is currently charging and unusable.
3) Batteries are low - charge ROV.
4) Remove tether and try diagnostic cable. See
section Diagnostics Cable.
1) Possible breach in hull - contact Deep Trekker
support or your authorized Deep Trekker Dealer
for assistance.
1) Inspect propellers and guarding for debris causing
blockage of water flow. Remove as necessary.
1) Add or remove ballast plates as outlined in the
user manual. Ensure any external equipment is
neutrally buoyant.
1) Retrieve ROV from the water and test video again.
Video footage of water with nothing in the
background can appear black as though the video
is not working.
2) Check connections between the controller and
viewing system. Ensure all connectors are
completely pushed in.
3) Charge the viewing system batteries.
4) Ensure a splitter is not being used. Composite
video output on the controller is only capable of
driving one monitor.
Controller computer system frozen in
‘ON’ state or acting unusual
1) Reset the system by disconnecting the controller
batteries for at least 10 seconds.
ROV computer system frozen in ‘ON’
state or acting unusual
1) Reset the system by disconnecting the batteries
for at least 10 seconds. This is accomplished by
plugging in the charger.
ROV charger LED not turning red when
plugged in
1) Ensure the ROV battery is not at 100% (unused
after last charge).
2) Check the integrity of the 2 charge pins in the
ROV charge port for corrosion.
3) Ensure by use of multi-meter that the charger is
22.2VDC on the output pins.
