SECTION 2 INSTALLATION
HTEK 2_UM Eng_R4.0_Feb. 2016 Page 18 of 28
If it is necessary to electrically isolate the equipment from the mains disconnect the
mains plug from mains socket or disconnect the mains connector from the appliance
inlet on the rear panel of the device.
To replace the detachable power supply cord, follow instructions described below:
- switch off the device by the main switch,
- disconnect the mains plug from mains socket,
- disconnect the mains connector from the equipment,
- replace the power cable with an original one (cod. HTEK2.DB.21),
- connect the mains connector to appliance inlet and then connect the mains plug to mains
socket,
- switch on Hemotek 2.
Before connect the Hemotek 2 to any line voltage, please check if the voltage corresponds
to the voltage selected on the selector visible on the rear side of the machine (see little red
sign on main switch assembly). In the case the shown voltage is different, please set the
correct one as written at Section 3.2 of present manual. Check if a good electrical ground cable
is available too. If the ground cable should rise any doubt regarding its efficiency don’t
power on the unit and solve the problem first.
First of all, check if the main switch on the rear side is in off position (0).
With the tray empty and without touching, insert the power cord to line voltage and move the
main switch to ON position (I): the yellow front LED showing the symbol must be lighted.
Press the ON/OFF key on the keyboard for few seconds: Hemotek 2
will begin the start up
procedure making a zero to the weighting system. Within few seconds the mixer is ready for
use.
2.5 Using with the battery
Hemotek 2 can be powered by an optional battery pack (code HTEK2.DB.24) capable to supply
energy if fully charged for about 80 complete donations. These performances are indicatives,
because the number of donations and the total time in hours are strictly dependent from the
condition of the battery and from some other parameters such as the total time to which the
clamp remains closed for example.
