CAUTION! READ CAREFULLY
Before using the equipment, read this manual carefully.
Hemotek 2 is not designed to be used in presence of flammable mixtures, such as anesthetics,
oxygen, nitrous oxide or other.
Although Hemotek 2 has been projected with a high protection degree against interference for
electromagnetic field, is necessary to install the unit at a certain distance from high emitting
sources such as UPS, high voltage houses, radio transmitters and cellular phones. The use of
cellular phone is admitted at a distance of at least 1.5 m.
Any other apparatus, standing close to Hemotek 2 must fulfill completely all standards for the
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
Before connect the machine to the power line, please check if the voltage selector is
properly set (see Section 3.2 for that). Only personnel well trained and authorized by
Delcon s.r.l can service Hemotek 2.
Avoid water or other liquids from entering the Hemotek 2: this can cause short circuit and
serious damages to Hemotek 2, operators and environment.
Before cleaning the equipment or doing maintenance procedures, always disconnect power
cord from mains socket. For proper cleaning read and follow carefully instruction described in
“MAINTENANCE” Section of this manual.
Hemotek 2 must only be used for the purposes for which it is designed, as described in this
manual.
Delcon s.r.l. shall not assume any responsibility in case of wrong actions or changes applied to
Hemotek 2 by not authorized or not qualified persons and especially in the following cases:
1. Any use of Hemotek 2 different from those described in this manual.
2. Damages to property and persons due to incorrect installation, incorrect use or
maintenance carried out by personnel not authorized by the Manufacturer.
3. Electrical or mechanical changes carried out during or after installation and not
authorized by the Manufacturer.
4. Improper use of Hemotek 2, for example sealing plastic tubes different from blood bags
tubes.
Only personnel qualified and authorized by the Manufacturer can remove the
equipment’s exterior safety guards and carry out maintenance and inspection.
NOTE: Upon request Delcon s.r.l. will provide diagrams of the circuits, components list and
other useful information to Technical Assistance Service.
