The DELIXI CDB6i series miniature circuit breaker is designed for use in AC circuits with frequencies of 50/60Hz and rated voltages not exceeding 400/415V (phase-to-phase). It handles rated currents ranging from 1A to 63A. This device is equipped with both short-circuit protection and overload protection releases, ensuring comprehensive safety against electrical faults.
The CDB6i circuit breaker is designed for ease of installation and reliable operation. It can be mounted on TH35-7.5 steel mounting rails, making it suitable for power distribution boxes, electric distribution cabinets, or other enclosures. The product supports reverse wiring, offering flexibility in installation. For products with an N pole, the neutral wire (zero line) should be connected to the pole marked with 'N'.
Before installation, users should verify that the technical parameters printed on the device align with their specific requirements. It is crucial to check the insulation resistance between poles (except for single-pole models), between the pole and housing, and between the pole and mounting rail, as well as between the incoming and outgoing terminals. This check should be performed with a 500V megohmmeter, and the resistance should not be less than 5MΩ. If the resistance falls below this threshold, the product should not be used, and the supplier should be contacted for a replacement.
To ensure proper functionality, the circuit breaker's operating mechanism should be tested by closing and opening it several times to confirm smooth and reliable action without any blockages. The cross-sectional area of the connecting wires must be compatible with the circuit breaker's rated current, as specified in the manual. The wiring tightening torque for both the power and load ends is 2.0 N.m.
The ambient air temperature for normal operation should not exceed +70°C and not fall below -35°C, with an average temperature within 24 hours not exceeding +35°C. The installation altitude should not exceed 2000m. Relative humidity should not exceed 50% at +40°C, though higher humidity is permitted at lower temperatures (e.g., up to 90% at +20°C). Special precautions should be taken to manage condensation caused by temperature fluctuations.
The external magnetic field near the installation site should not exceed five times the geomagnetic field in any direction. The circuit breaker should be installed in an environment free from explosion hazards, and without sufficient gas or dust that could corrode metals or degrade insulation. It should also be protected from significant impact vibration, rain, and snow. The pollution level for the installation site is specified as Level 2, and the installation category is Category II or III.
When multiple circuit breakers are installed in a sealed box, the internal temperature will rise, which may necessitate derating the use current to 0.8 times the rated current. The reference temperature for this series of circuit breakers is +30±5°C.
The handle position indicates the circuit breaker's state: upward movement signifies the ON state, while downward movement indicates the OFF state. To remove the circuit breaker from the mounting rail, it should be pushed upward forcefully, and its upper portion pulled outwards until it detaches.
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and reliable performance of the CDB6i circuit breaker. Maintenance and repair activities must be carried out by qualified professionals. It is critical never to perform maintenance or repair on a live product.
Under normal operating conditions, the product should be maintained once a year. Maintenance checks include:
Upon unpacking, users should inspect the product for any signs of damage, rust on exposed metal parts, or defects resulting from poor transport or storage. Any such issues should be reported to the supplier immediately.
The manufacturer provides a 36-month warranty from the production date, covering repairs or replacements for products that are damaged or fail to operate normally due to poor manufacturing quality, provided the user complies with the use and storage conditions and the product remains sealed. After the warranty period, paid repair services are available.
However, the warranty does not cover damages caused by:
