Requirements for combining DS60 and ES30 shelves
ES20 shelves are only allowed to be connected to DD6300, DD6800 and DD9300, and
DD9500 or DD9800 systems to migrate the data using the shelf migration software
feature in DD OS 5.7 or later releases.
Some of the DS60 configurations described in the following sections also include
ES30 shelves for DD Cloud Tier metadata, or FS15 shelves for HA.
For HA pairs that have one or more ES30/FS15 shelves, the primary and standby
nodes use different cables to connect to ES30/FS15 shelves. The primary node uses
ES30/FS15 HOST (circle) connections, and the standby node uses ES30/FS15
EXPANSION (diamond) connections.
