Steps
1. Align the notch on the solid-state drive with the tab on the M.2 card slot.
2. Slide the solid-state drive into the M.2 card slot.
3. Place the thermal shield on the solid-state drive.
4. Align the screw holes on the thermal shield with the screw holes on the solid-state drive and system board.
5. Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the thermal shield to the solid-state drive and the system board.

NOTE:
Both M.2 solid-state drive slots on this computer support the following solid-state drive configurations:
● M.2 2230 solid-state drive
● M.2 2280 solid-state drive
The procedure to move the mounting bracket for slot 1 and slot 2 are exactly the same.
If you are replacing the solid-state drive of a different form factor other than the one removed, perform the following procedure
to move the location of the solid-state drive mounting bracket.
Steps
1. Push the solid-state drive mounting bracket outwards to remove it from the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Place and slide the solid-state drive mounting bracket into the other mounting bracket on the palm-rest and keyboard
assembly.
