Removing the base cover

Procedure
1. Loosen the two captive screws on the base cover.
2. Remove the eight screws (M2x7) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE: The two captive screws when released will create a gap which can be used to pry and lift the base cover off
the palm-rest assembly.
3. Pry the base cover from the rear side using a plastic scribe.
4. Pry the base cover from the tabs on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly and lift the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard
assembly.
