What to do if my Dell P117F001 battery is swollen?

If you notice that your Dell Laptop battery is swollen, discontinue using the laptop immediately. Discharge it by disconnecting the AC adapter and allowing the battery to drain. Swollen batteries should not be used and should be replaced and disposed of properly. You may also contact Dell product support for options to replace a swollen battery under the terms of your warranty or service contract.
