3.15 Battery
A replaceable coin cell CR2032 3V lithium coin cell battery is mounted on the planar to provide
backup power for the Real-Time Clock and CMOS RAM on the SP5100 chip. An optional 3.7V lithium
ion RAID battery is available.
3.16 Field Replaceable Units (FRU)
Both planars contain a serial EEPROM to contain FRU information including Dell part number, part
revision level, and serial number. The iDRAC6 Enterprise contains a FRU EEPROM. The backplane SEP
and the power supply microcontroller are also used to store FRU data.
