iDRAC Lifecycle controller
The PowerEdge server provides storage expandability that allows you to adapt to your workload and operational demands. With
comprehensive storage options, the server oer various drive types, internal and external storage controllers, and dierent backplanes for
varied number of drives. The microcontroller is responsible for acting as an interface or gateway between the host system (i.e., server
management software) and the peripheral devices. These peripheral devices, which may or may not be Intelligent Platform Management
Interface (IPMI) compliant, consist of the power supplies, the storage backplane, integrated storage controllers, control panel with semi-
intelligent display, and Lifecycle Controller.
