Remove the power supply/cooling fan modules from the 
enclosure
. See "Removing and Installing the 
Power Supply/Cooling Fan Module."

Remove the 
enclosure
 midplane. See "Removing and Installing the Midplane."

Let the 
enclosure
 dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours.

Reinstall all the components you removed in the previous steps.

Reconnect the 
enclosure
 to the electrical outlet and turn on the 
enclosure
.

 does not start properly, see "Getting Help."
Troubleshooting a Damaged Enclosure
Problem

Enclosure
 was dropped or damaged.
Action
 
CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the enclosure cover and access any of the 
components inside the enclosure. Before performing any procedure, see your Product Information Guide for 
complete information about safety precautions, working inside the enclosure and protecting against 
electrostatic discharge.

Ensure that the following components are properly installed:
• All drives (both in their carriers and connected to the 
enclosure
 midplane)
• Power supply/cooling fan modules
• EMMs
•
Enclosure
 midplane

Ensure that all cables are properly connected and that there are no bent pins in the connector.

Run any diagnostics available in Server Administrator.
If the tests fail, see "Getting Help."
