Removing the System Fan
Replacing the System Fan


Removing the System Fan

1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.

2. Remove the palm rest(see Removing the Palm Rest).

3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board connector.

4. Remove the two screws securing the system fan to the computer cover.

5. Lift the system fan out.
Replacing the System Fan


1. Place the system fan in positon on the computer cover.

2. Replace and tighten the two screws.

3. Connect the fan cable to the system board connector.

4. Follow the instructions in Replacing the Palm Rest.
