Use
Use in compliance with its intended use
This appliance is intended for domestic use only.
Use this appliance only as described herein. These instruc-
tions do not intend to cover every possible condition and
situation that may arise.
Common sense and caution should be applied when instal-
ling, operating and storing any appliance.
General safeguards
• Donotinstalltheapplianceinroomscontaininggas,oil
or sulphur. Do not install near sources of heat.
• Donotusetheapplianceonslopingsurfaces.
• Keeptheapplianceatleast2ft(61cm)awayfromam-
mable substances (alcohol etc) or pressurised containers
(e.g. aerosol cans).
• Donotrestheavyorhotobjectsontopoftheapplian-
ce.
• Alwaystransporttheapplianceupright,NOTonitsside.
Remember to drain the condensate tank before moving
the appliance.
If the appliance was transported on its side, you must
waitatleast6hoursbeforeusingit(24hrsisrecom-
mended).
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: This unit contains
uorinated greenhouse gases covered by the Kyoto
Protocol. Avoid perforating the refrigerant circuit of the
appliance.
Maintenance and disposal must be carried out by quali-
ed personnel only (R410A, GWP=1975).
• Thematerialsusedforpackagingcanberecycled.
You are therefore advised to dispose of them in special
dierentiated waste collection containers.
• Donotusetheapplianceoutdoors.
• Donotobstructtheairintakeoroutlet.
USE
Read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
• Keeptheseinstructions.
If the appliance is transferred to other owners, they
should also be given these instructions.
• Failuretorespecttheinstructionsmayresultininjuryor
damage to the appliance.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage deriving from
failure to follow these instructions.
Electrical connections
Waitatleast6houraftertransportingtheappliancebefore
starting it.
Before plugging the appliance into the outlet, check
that:
• Theoutlet,powersupplycorrespondstotheworking
voltage indicated on the rating plate.
• Thepoweroutlet,andelectricalcircuitareadequatefor
the appliance.
• Thepoweroutlet,matchesthe plug.If this is not the
case, have the plug replaced by a qualied electrician;
• Theoutletisproperlygrounded.
Setting it up for use
Position the appliance in the room to be dehumidied.
Itisessentialtoleaveafreespaceofatleast2ft(61cm)in
front and on the top of the dehumidier, so as not to obstruct
the air inlet and outlet.
For ecient ventilation it is advisable to leave a space of at
least 2-4 inches (5-10 cm) all around the appliance.
Applying the castors
If you wish to apply the castors to the appliance, proceed as
follows:
1)
Make sure the appliance is unplugged and the tank is empty.
2) Remove the rubber caps from the base of the appliance
by pulling them out hard, using pliers if necessary (see
gure 1/a).
3) Apply the castors by inserting their pins into the holes
(see gure 1/b).
