3. Baery
3.1. Disassembly and assembly of the integrated baery
Disassembly the baery
To disassemble the baery, (15) open the lock (6) using the key (5). The baery will be unlocked
and fall into the safety locking screw (14). Press on the safety locking screw from above.
The baery will be unlocked completely and fall into your hand. Pull the baery out of the frame.
Assembly the baery
In order for the baery to be assembled, the key (5) must be inserted into the lock (6) and
the lock must be open. To insert the baery (15), place it so that its contacts are in the lower
holder of the frame. Push the baery upwards unl it is held by the safety locking screw (14).
Press the baery upwards unl you hear it click into place. Check that the baery is secure in
all direcons. Always secure the baery by locking the lock (6) – otherwise the lock may open
and the baery may fall out of the holder.
3.2. Charging the baery
The Li-ion baery of your E-bike can be recharged at any level of discharge. It is recommended to
recharge the baery fully aer each ride, as soon as it cools down to a room temperature. Do not
use the charger with a damaged case or power cord. There is a risk of electric shock.
Meaning of the LED charger status indicator:
RED – the baery is charging  GREEN – the baery is fully charged
Warning:
The baery is supplied as parally charged. To ensure the full baery capacity, fully charge
the baery in the charger before using it for the rst me. To charge the baery, read and
follow the instrucons in the operang manual for the charger.
Baery protecon
The Li-ion baery in your E-bike is equipped with its own control unit - BMS (Baery Management
System). This system monitors and controls charging and discharging and also serves as a protec-
on against deep discharge or overcharging. However, if the baery is automacally switched o
by BMS, do not aempt to restart the system and do not connue using engine assistance. It may
cause deep discharge of the baery cells and its irreversible damage. This damage can be diag-
nosed but is not covered by warranty service. Recharge the baery as soon as possible.
Warning:
Use only the charger supplied with your E-bike. The baery charger can be used only indoors.
Avoid any contact with water or other uids while charging the baery. If the baery charger
or any connectors become wet, immediately unplug the charger and dry all components before
baery charging. Charging is permied only in the temperature range 0 ~ 40 °C!
Storage
With daily use, it is not necessary to remove the baery from the frame. If the bike will not
be used for a long me, always remove the baery, store it in a dry and safe place in the tem-
perature range 5 - 25 ° C. Recommended environment for storing baeries is a dry place with
a constant temperature of between 15 - 20 ° C. (Temperatures below freezing point, but also
too high temperatures are not suitable for storing the baeries. Storage temperatures above
40 ° C are too high for long-term storage!) Be careful not to short-circuit the baery contacts
when storing or handling baeries. During the long-term storage, such as o-season, charge the
baery to its full capacity and recharge the baery to this level at least once in every 4 months.
Disconnect the baery from the charger when fully charged. Do not leave the fully charged bat-
tery connected to the charger.
Range
The range of your E-bike is aected by many factors including:
- Selected degree of assistance - Baery state-of-charge
- Prole of selected route - Weather condions
- Total weight of a cyclist and baggage - Tire inaon pressure, etc.
For maximum range, fully recharge the baery and check the technical condion of your E-bike
before each ride. With correct gear choice and correct level of assistance, range on a single
charge can be signicantly increased as unnecessary baery power is not used.
