3.2. Charging the baery
The Li-ion baery of your E-bike can be recharged at any level of discharge. It is recommended to
recharge the baery fully aer each ride, as soon as it cools down to a room temperature. Do not
use the charger with a damaged case or power cord. There is a risk of electric shock.
Meaning of the LED charger status indicator:
RED – the baery is charging GREEN – the baery is fully charged
Warning:
The baery is supplied as parally charged. To ensure the full baery capacity, fully charge
the baery in the charger before using it for the rst me. To charge the baery, read and
follow the instrucons in the operang manual for the charger.
Baery protecon
The Li-ion baery in your E-bike is equipped with its own control unit - BMS (Baery Management
System). This system monitors and controls charging and discharging and also serves as a protec-
on against deep discharge or overcharging. However, if the baery is automacally switched o
by BMS, do not aempt to restart the system and do not connue using engine assistance. It may
cause deep discharge of the baery cells and its irreversible damage. This damage can be diag-
nosed but is not covered by warranty service. Recharge the baery as soon as possible.
Warning:
Use only the charger supplied with your E-bike. The baery charger can be used only indoors.
Avoid any contact with water or other uids while charging the baery. If the baery charger
or any connectors become wet, immediately unplug the charger and dry all components before
baery charging. Charging is permied only in the temperature range 0 ~ 40 °C!
Storage
With daily use, it is not necessary to remove the baery from the frame. If the bike will not
be used for a long me, always remove the baery, store it in a dry and safe place in the tem-
perature range 5 - 25 ° C. Recommended environment for storing baeries is a dry place with
a constant temperature of between 15 - 20 ° C. (Temperatures below freezing point, but also
too high temperatures are not suitable for storing the baeries. Storage temperatures above
40 ° C are too high for long-term storage!) Be careful not to short-circuit the baery contacts
when storing or handling baeries. During the long-term storage, such as o-season, charge the
baery to its full capacity and recharge the baery to this level at least once in every 4 months.
Disconnect the baery from the charger when fully charged. Do not leave the fully charged bat-
tery connected to the charger.
Range
The range of your E-bike is aected by many factors including:
- Selected degree of assistance - Baery state-of-charge
- Prole of selected route - Weather condions
- Total weight of a cyclist and baggage - Tire inaon pressure, etc.
For maximum range, fully recharge the baery and check the technical condion of your E-bike
before each ride. With correct gear choice and correct level of assistance, range on a single
charge can be signicantly increased as unnecessary baery power is not used.
