Prepare for playback.
①Turn on the power of the TV, subwoofer and player.
②Set the TV’s input to the AVR-790.
③Load the disc in the player.

Turn on the AVR-790’s power.

source.
If “TUNING PRESET” is selected for
preset channel, press before turning

Play the component connected to
the AVR-790.
Make the necessary settings on the
player (language setting, subtitles
setting, etc.) beforehand.

Use to adjust the volume.

The following describes the procedure for playing Blu-ray disc/
DVD players.
Use the same procedure to play other components.
Playing Blu-ray Disc / DVD Players
The music / video on an iPod can be played by using the control
dock for iPod (ASD-1R, ASD-11R, ASD-3N or ASD-3W sold
separately).
Connect the control dock for iPod beforehand. (vpage 14

Prepare for playback.
q Set the iPod in the DENON control dock
for iPod.
w Assign the control dock for iPod’s input
(vpage 33).
eSet to “MAIN/TV” to “MAIN”.

Turn on the AVR-790’s power.

Press to select the input source assigned in step 1-
w above.

b If the screens above are not displayed, the iPod may not be
properly connected. Try connecting again.
