Format (when installed)

Selecting the device
q The currently connected
devices are displayed on
the left of the screen.
w Turn the
PARAMETERS
knob and select the
device to be
formatted.
Press the
PARAMETERS
knob to enter.

A popup confirmation
message appears at
the bottom left of the
screen.
When “OK” is
selected:
Formatting starts.
When formatting
starts, a progress bar is displayed, allowing
you to follow the progress.
When “Cancel” is selected:
The screen in step 1 reappears.
Canceling is not possible once the formatting
operation starts.

Once formatting is
completed, a popup
confirmation message
asking whether you
want to switch to the
USB device mode
appears.
When “USB
Device Mode” is selected:
If connected to a computer, the set switches to
the USB device mode.
If not connected to a computer, a message
appears.
When “Cancel” is selected:
The database is created and the screen in step
2 reappears.
Factory Default

q At the top menu in the
Initialization, turn the
PARAMETERS knob and
select “Factory
Default”.
Press the knob
again to enter.
w The unit is set to
the factory default
mode.

A popup confirmation
message appears.
When “OK” is
selected:
The operation for
restoring the set to
the factory defaults
is executed.
To step 3.
When “Cancel” is selected:
The screen in step 1 reappears.

Once the operation is
executed, the end
screen is displayed.
If the operation
was successful:
“Complete” is
displayed.
If the operation
has failed:
“Memory Error” is displayed.

Initialization
Use this procedure to format the internal HDD.
Also use this function to restore the presettings for both
layers to the factory defaults.
Setting the Initialization mode

At the top menu in the Utility
mode, turn the PARAMETERS
knob and select “Initialization”.
Press the knob again to enter.

The “Initialization” list is
displayed.

q At the top menu in the
Import/Export, turn the
PARAMETERS knob and
select “Export”.
Press the knob again to enter.
w The unit is set to the export mode.

Select the device to
which the presettings
are to be exported.

Format
q At the top menu in the
Initialization, turn the
PARAMETERS knob and
select “Format”.
Press the knob
again to enter.
w The unit is set to
the format mode.
Note: This
procedure will
erase all contents
on the Hard Drive,
be careful!
