Why is there no picture or sound on my Denver MT-779DVBT Portable DVD Player?

      Pamela HopkinsAug 11, 2025
If you're not getting any picture or sound, first, make sure the A/V cables are securely connected. Also, verify that you're using a compatible disc format like DVD, DVD-RW, or AUDIO CD. Avoid using scratched or dirty discs, and ensure the label-side of the disc is facing up. If viewing with a TV, confirm that the TV channel is set to VIDEO or AV. The pick-up lens of the DVD player may be dirty.

      Gregory CurtisAug 18, 2025
If the remote control isn't working, check that the battery is correctly inserted in the '+' and '-' direction. The battery may be flat, so try replacing it with a new one. Also, make sure the signal is directed at the remote control sensor on the DVD player, removing any obstacles that may be blocking the signal.

Why is there no sound coming from my Denver MT-779DVBT?

      Kristin McdowellAug 26, 2025
If you're not getting any sound, make sure the display panel is open; when it's closed, audio won't output to the speakers. Check the volume setting and increase it if it's set to zero. Also, verify that headphones are not plugged into the PHONES socket, as speakers cannot be used simultaneously with headphones.
