• Always move crosswise across slopes, never up or down.
• Take special care when changing the direction of travel on slopes.
• Do not mow on overly steep slopes (max. 10°).
• Only operate the device at walking speed.
• Take special care when turning the device around or pulling it towards you.
• Stop the cutting tool when the device has to be tipped for transport over other areas than grass and when
the device is moved from and to the area to be mowed.
• Never use the device with damaged protective equipment or protective grating or without installed
protective equipment, e.g. impact protection and/or grass collection equipment. This ensures the safety of
the device is not adversely aected. Do not start the motor when standing in front of the ejector opening.
• Switch the engine on as directed and only if your feet are a safe distance away from the cutting tools.
• Never place your hands or feet on or below rotating parts. Always keep away from the ejector opening. A
moment of inattention when using the device can result in serious injuries.
• Never lift or carry the device when the engine is running.
• Never leave the device unattended at the workplace.
• Do not work with a damaged or incomplete device or one which has been converted without the
permission of the manufacturer. Using the device for anything other than its intended use can lead to
dangerous situations.
• Do not work with the device if there is a risk of lightning strike. Danger of electric shock.
• Never store the device with fuel in its petrol tank inside a building, where fuel vapours may be coming in
contact with re or sparks. Switch o the engine, take out the spark plug connector and ensure that all
moving parts are still:
• Before releasing blockages or removing obstructions in the ejection channel;
• Before checking, cleaning or workingon the equipment;
• If a foreign body is struck. Look for damage to the equipment and carry out the necessary repairs before
restarting and working with the equipment;
• If the equipment starts to vibrate unusually strongly, an immediate check is required.
Switch o the engine, take out the spark plug connector and ensure that all moving parts are still:
• When leaving the equipment;
• Before refuelling;
Close the throttle valve when stopping the engine.
Do not leave the equipment unattended in the workplace.
Do not operate the lawn mower when the air lter or its cover is removed.
Wear personal protection equipment. Wear safety goggles, safety boots, close-tting clothing, safety gloves
and protective earplugs.
The lawn mower shall only be used as intended and under ambient conditions specied herein. Any use other
than as intended can cause a severe injury.
Prior to operating the lawn mower, clean and wipe dry its handle.
During operation, be very careful while mowing backward (when the lawn mower moves back).
When mowing grass on steep slopes, move the lawn mower transverse to the slope only. It's necessary to observe
both general safety rules set forth in this section, and special instructions contained in other section hereof.
Negligence of safety rules can pose a danger to the environment, lead to lawn mower failure, and result in
adverse consequences for people's health.
Negligence of safety rules leads to the cancelation of obligations on indemnication under the
manufacturer warranty.
PRECAUTIONS
In avoidance of injuries, bear in mind and follow the below rules:
• While in operation, certain parts of the lawn mower become very hot. Do not touch them until they cool
down completely.
