devolo Giga Bridge
Status
In the Status area, you will find different status in-
formation for your devolo Giga Bridge adapters.
Here, you can read off the current date and time,
the configured time servers, the MAC address and
the active and inactive services of your
devolo Giga Bridge adapters.
Services
b Diagnostics: Current information about the
devolo Giga Bridge adapters is transmitted to
the device manufacturer for service purposes
(active)
b Update server: Improvements and updates are
automatically installed using this service
(active)
b TR-069: Protocol for the data exchange
between the server of a communication pro-
vider and the connected terminal device of the
customer (inactive)
b Web server (HTTP): Enables the display of the
graphical interface (active)
Management
In the Management area, you can configure vari-
ous settings on your devolo Giga Bridge adapter. A
majority of these settings have already been
prompted by the wizard. The information from the
initial set-up can be changed here.
Device name (hostname)
You can assign the devolo Giga Bridge adapter a
personal device name by which it will appear in
the network overview.
Password
You can set a personal login password for access to
the web interface.
In the factory default condition of the
devolo Giga Bridge, the integrated web interface is
protected by a one-time, automatically generated
key. After the installation of the
devolo Giga Bridge, you should use a custom key
to rule out access by third parties.
To do so, enter the desired new password twice.
Now the web interface is protected against
unauthorised access with your custom password!
Identify device
The devolo Giga Bridge adapter can be found us-
ing the Identify device function. By clicking on
Identify, the LEDs will flash white for 2 minutes to
make the corresponding adapter visually noticea-
ble.
