Additional Specific Safety Rules for Cutsaws

WARNING: ALWAYS use approved respiratory protection.
Use of this tool can generate and/or disburse dust, which
may cause seriousīinjury.
⢠Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when
performing an operation where the cutting accessory
may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting
accessory contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal
parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an
electricīshock.
⢠After switching off, never attempt to stop the saw blade with
yourīfingers.
⢠Never put the saw down on a table or work bench unless
switched off. The saw blade will keep running briefly after the
tool has been switchedīoff.
⢠When using saw blades specially designed for cutting wood
remove all nails and metal objects from the workpiece before
startingīwork.
⢠Wherever possible, use clamps and vices to fasten the
workpieceīsecurely.
⢠Do not attempt to saw extremely smallīworkpieces.
⢠Do not bend too far forward. Make sure that you always stand
firmly, particularly on scaffolding andīladders.
⢠Always hold the saw with bothīhands.
⢠For cutting curves and pockets, use an adapted sawīblade.
⢠Only use saw blades conforming to the specifications
contained in these operatingīinstructions.
⢠Only sharp saw blades in perfect working condition should
be used; cracked or bent saw blades should be discarded and
replaced atīonce.
⢠Ensure that the saw blade is securelyīfixed.

WARNING: We recommend the use of a residual current
device with a residual current rating of 30mA orīless.
Residual Risks
In spite of the application of the relevant safety regulations
and the implementation of safety devices, certain residual risks
cannot be avoided. These are:
⢠Impairment ofīhearing.
⢠Risk of personal injury due to flyingīparticles.
⢠Risk of burns due to accessories becoming hot
duringīoperation.
⢠Risk of personal injury due to prolongedīuse.
Electrical Safety
The electric motor has been designed for one voltage only.
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage
on the ratingīplate.
Your
tool is double insulated in accordance
with EN60745; therefore no earth wire isīrequired.

WARNING: 115 V units have to be operated via a fail-safe
isolating transformer with an earth screen between the
primary and secondaryīwinding.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
specially prepared cord available through the
serviceīorganisation.
Mains Plug Replacement
(U.K. & Ireland Only)
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:
⢠Safely dispose of the oldīplug.
⢠Connect the brown lead to the live terminal in theīplug.
⢠Connect the blue lead to the neutralīterminal.

WARNING: No connection is to be made to the
earthīterminal.
Follow the fitting instructions supplied with good quality plugs.
Recommended fuse: 13īA.
Using an Extension Cable
If an extension cable is required, use an approved 3ācore
extension cable suitable for the power input of this tool (see
Technical Data).The minimum conductor size is 1.5 mm
2
; the
maximum length is 30īm.
When using a cable reel, always unwind the cableīcompletely.
