Lubrication
Your power tool requires no additionallubrication.
MAINTENANCE
Your power tool has been designed to operate over a long
period of time with a minimum of maintenance. Continuous
satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and
regularcleaning.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn tool off and disconnect tool from power
source before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An accidental
start-up can causeinjury.
Tuckpointing and Cutting Application
(Fig. A, J)
1. Set the desired depth of cut, see Depth of Cut Adjustment
under Assembly andAdjustments.
2. Allow the tool to reach full speed before touching it to the
worksurface.
3. Position yourself so the open underside of the shroud and
the wheel are facing away fromyou.
4. Place the metal base

of the shroud onto the work surface
and begin cut by plunging into the work surface. The upper
shroud

will lock onto the lower shroud

after the
initialplunge.
NOTE: Keep the metal base of the shroud against the work
surface to ensure proper dustcollection.
5. With the shroud oriented as shown in FigureJ, pull the
grinder along the worksurface.
NOTE: The grinder should ONLY be used in the
directionindicated.
6. When finished with the cut, remove the tool from work
surface before turning off the tool. Allow the tool to stop
rotating before laying itdown.
7. Push the side shroud button

to release the upper shroud
and start a new plunge andcut.

Cleaning
WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of the main housing
with dry air as often as dirt is seen collecting in and around
the air vents. Wear approved eye protection and approved
dust mask when performing thisprocedure.
WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals
for cleaning the non-metallic parts of the tool. These
chemicals may weaken the materials used in these parts.
Use a cloth dampened only with water and mild soap.
Never let any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any
part of the tool into aliquid.

To attach the wheels to the base, reinsert the pivot pin, slide the
wheels on their axles and secure the clips in place. Make sure all
four wheels are securely attached before using the
