EN OPERATION
DiBO 20
Remark: Use the throttle handle NEVER to arrange the spray pressure.
Starting and warming up
Move the throttle lever a little bit open (PTL-L). Put the operating switch to
position 1 (PTL-M) / turn the key contact to position ON and make sure that the
fuel tap is on position ON or vertical position. Start the engine, electric (PTL-L)
or with the traction cord (PTL-M/L), depending the model. Hold the lever in this
position, so the engine can run warm at lower revolutions.
Engine at operating temperature
Push aside the throttle lever to the top (PTL-L) (against the stop = the maximum
position (fast position)), till the desired number of revs of the engine is setled.
Switching o the engine
Push aside the throttle lever completely downwards, position MIN (turtle), up
to the right stop (PTL-L). Let the engine run at stationary revs for a while to cool
down. Put the operating switch on position 0: OFF (=out) and the fuel tap on
OFF or horizontal position.
4 STARTER CORD FIG 1 & 2
The traction cord is mounted with a handle, which has to pull out calm till
there can be sensed a resistance. The freewheel clutch is now entered. Next,
the cord has to be pulled out in a strong move to start the engine. After each
start (- attempt) you have to spring back the pulled cord easily. After long-time
standstill or first operation, operate motor, after starting, with low adjusted
speed and without load for approx. 20 sec. The cord is available on both types
(also at PTL-L electric started).
Rapid retraction of starter cord (kickback) will pull hand
and arm toward engine faster than you can let go. Broken
bones, fractures, bruises or sprains could result.
5 OPERATING SWITCH: HAND STARTED ENGINE PTLM FIG 3
The operating switch is situated along the engine and has two positions:
0 : OFF = out
1 : ON = working position
6 OPERATING SWITCH: ELECTRIC STARTED ENGINE PTLL FIG 2
The operating switch can be situated at the front of the protection cover below
the fuel tank of the engine. The operating switch has 3 positions:
0 : OFF = stop
1 : ON = working position
START: = starting the engine
The engine switch needs to be turned to ‘START’, one must hold these there
(no longer then 5 sec) to the engine starts. If the engine does not start, wait 10
seconds, before trying again. Afterwards, turn again to 1: ON. Starter (rewind
start) switch: Firmly hold the starter cord handle. Pull the starter cord handle
slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly. The engine will be started now
via the cord.
